ALOHA RICE PILAF WITH BASMATI RICE

Saudi Arabian rice pilaf with chicken is a delicious food delight that showcases the rich and diverse flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine. Ingredients:

  • 600g Aloha Basmati Rice
    • 50ml vegetable oil
    • 2 to 3 medium onions, finely chopped
    • 2 to 3 green chilies, finely sliced
    • chopped fresh ginger, crushed
    • 1 table spoon tomato paste
    • 1.5 kg chicken, cut into medium pieces
    • Salt to taste ( as per need)
    • 2 tsp cumin ( as per requirement)
    • 2 tsp mixed spice
    • 1 to 2 tsp ground cardamom
    • Cardamom to garnish

Prepration: 

  • Rinse the Aloha Basmati Rice, soak it in water and cover for 40 minutes, then drain.
    • Heat the oil in a pan and add the onions and chilies, and fry until golden.
    • Add the ginger and tomato paste and stir for a minute.
    • Add the chicken pieces and fry until browned, then scattering all the spices.
    • Add the tomatoes and season with salt. Pour half a liter of water into the pot and bring to a boil. Cover and let it simmer gently on medium-low heat for 45 to 50 minutes or until the chicken is done.
    • Remove the chicken, place on a plate and keep it warm.
    • Put the Aloha Basmati Rice in the broth and season with salt.
    • Seal with aluminum foil, cover and cook on low heat for 25 to 35 minutes until the rice is done.
    • Place the chicken over the rice and serve hot. Garnish with chopped cardamom

Place the stuffed Arabian PILAF squashes back in the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, just until everything is heated through. Remove from the oven and serve warm. Delight in this delicious and wholesome dish that combines the goodness of Aloha Basmati Rice with fresh and smoky chicken.
